We’re excited to share that four tagged hedgehogs will be arriving in Glatton this Sunday at 11am as part of a new pilot release with the Hedgehog Hospital.
These little wanderers will each have a small cluster of numbered tags on their spines. The tags are far too small to read on cameras or during casual observation, but each hedgehog’s tag pattern will be photographed on Sunday so we can recognise them later.
👉 What we need from the village: Please keep your eyes peeled over the coming days and weeks. If you spot one of our new arrivals anywhere around Glatton, simply drop a quick note into the Glatton HogBlog so we can track their movements. It’s very much a case of look, but don’t interfere, just let us know where you saw them.
This is an important pilot for the Hedgehog Hospital, who are currently caring for double the number of sick hedgehogs compared to last year. Your sightings will genuinely help.
