If you are ever worried about the health or welfare of a hedgehog, please call the British Hedgehog Preservation Society on 01584 890801 and they will be able to give you advice, and put you in touch with a local rescue centre if necessary.

Hedgehog Markings

I have been able to identify a number of hogs from their different markings. If any hogs come along in the future I will add them to the gallery.

Some of the markings may be rather subtle, so I may have duplicated them but I hope ‘hedgehog experts’ may be able to interpret the pictures. I will keep looking back through earlier recordings, as I know there are 2 hogs not accounted for at the moment. (One has three distinct stripes, the other a pale circle just above its right eye).

Does anyone recognise these hogs as visitors to their garden?
