I had the first hedgehogs in my garden last night. I was relieved to see the small hedgehog had survived hibernation. I had a much larger one visit for a feed later. Lovely to see them back

7th September 2024 – a rather late edition to my garden last night. Had 2 little ones turn up 2/3 weeks ago. They are doing well and putting on lots of weight.

This little fella has been around our garden over the last few days, probably one of the last sightings before he/she thinks about hibernating for the winter.
This little hedgehog is regularly appearing at around 20:00 – 20:15 every evening for his meal, as well as snacking through the night. There is also a mouse that pops along about 15 minutes later almost every night.

Captured these three critters on camera, thankfully none of them (one in particular) are not near to any of our hedgehog release sites.

We have sightings of a happy and healthy hedgehog at the church.
