We were very lucky to be one of the homes for the second hedgehog release sites ! Our beautiful hedgehog which has finally been named as “Snuffles” has settled in really well and is eating up all of his food over night ! With lots of meal worms we are keeping our fingers crossed that he will stay once his pen has been lifted 😀🤞😍
Snuffles arrives !

September 21, 2018 at 09:25Go easy with mealworms apparently. Great as a treat, but rescue centres up and down the country are see increasing numbers of their prickly patients with metabolic bone disease, which is linked to feeding large amounts of mealworms. Metabolic bone disease is a very distressing condition which basically robs their bones of calcium. They do, of course love to eat them. Kind of a kids and chocolate thing.
